Opera singer, Marie de Flor, (Jeanette MacDonald) searches the Canadian wilderness for her brother, John (James Stewart) who has been injured while escaping from jail and killing a Mountie. Unknown to Marie, Sergeant Bruce, (Nelson Eddy) the Mountie helping her, is also searching for her brother to arrest him.
