James Maitland Stewart
“Entering a building which houses a museum named after me is a privilege I could never have anticipated. I hope its visitors will enjoy their stay there. After all, they are the ones who really built it .”
A Note From Jimmy Stewart

Stewart was unable to attend the opening but sent his twin daughters Kelly Harcourt and Judy Merrill on his behalf. They read this letter from Jimmy to the audience attending the dedication ceremony.
